My Bayou Classic Experience
New Orleans - State Farm Bayou Classic XXXVIII is pleased to announce its "Official Schedule of Events" for the weekend of November 24 - 27, 2011. This annual extravaganza features one of America's greatest college sports rivalries, bringing the fans and alumni of Southern University and Grambling State University to New Orleans each November for a celebration of football, family and the traditions and pageantry surrounding Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
The Bayou Classic will connect Southern and Grambling students and alumni, as well as fans of HBCU football through the My Bayou Classic Experience.
This year's Bayou Classic features several new events, including a Thanksgiving Day Parade, House Party, Golf Tournament, Inspirational Gospel Brunch, HBCU Panel Discussion, and the Empowerment Exchange. While new and exciting events have been added, Friday's Battle of the Bands and Greek Show, and Saturday's football class between Grambling and Southern remain the signature events of the Bayou Classic.
