NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

MEETING

OCTOBER 15, 2011

 

Meeting was called to order by Gretchen Bradford followed in prayer by Rev. Baker.

Approval of minutes from 09-17-11. Motion was made by Mr. Oubre and seconded by Shari Baker to accept the minutes as read with the necessary corrections if there be any. No questions. All were in favor. Motion was carried.

Financial Report:

Balance as of August 30, 2011: $14, 872.66

Posted checks:

1128 New Orleans EMS $750.00

1120b See Hear Inc $2200.00

1120c Printers Wholesale Group $340.00

1121 Complete Tax and Notary Service $881.00

Balance as of September 30, 2011   $10,701.66

Motion was made by Mr. Oubre and seconded by Shari Baker to accept the financial report as read with the necessary corrections if there be any. No questions.   All in favor. Motion carried.

Jessie Haynes, Program Director of Louisiana Appleseed, a non profit organization that recruits lawyers for pro bono work with heir property. They can offer assistance with title clearing and transfers, succession, wills, tax liens, blight judgments, and co-owner disputes.   You can call 504-529-1000 for additional information.

Golf Play, the company that won the bid to manage the maintenance and operation of the golf course, will not due to financial issues. Parks and Parkways will perform maintenance in the interim.  

Dale Brock informed us of the Grand Opening of the Joe Bartholomew Golf Course is scheduled for Friday, November 25, 2011 in conjunction with the State Farm Bayou Classic.

Wesley Barrow Stadium scheduled to open in June 2012. Bids are currently being accepted for the softball field and walking path.

Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra is scheduled to perform on May 25, 2012 at 6:30pm. We will give further details when available.

Motion was made by Mr. Oubre and seconded by Hardy Price to adjourn the meeting. No questions. All in favor. Meeting adjourned.
